• The Lido is heading on a one-month journey to Palazar, the capital city of North Helios. In Palazar, the new recruits will receive training before being shipped off to an as-yet unnamed location and/or battle.

   

• Garfer feels that there has been an air of suspicion on the Lido. "People who worry about these things seem to be worrying about them a lot these last cupla weeks. I dunno. don't really care, either. Here have another snort. But I was up with the stars the night before last cleaning up after the officers and I saw Blind Lars sneaking down to the sailors quarters. He woulda noticed me too but I was downwind from him. What do you call this stuff again, corn-poppy? Whatever, it's allllllllreet. Goes real well with the snarag. Ha! I remember the snarag my Aunt Greetha used to make. It killed my uncle, no, I mean literally killed him..."

   

• When asked why the officers of the Lido locked away the spell books, Miro said something about the Split and how the North lost most of their magic while the South had it all. "They--we--try to get it whenever they can. They aren't too good at making it on their own." When pressed, he wouldn't go on.

   

• Garfer also mentions that he's seen Lieutenant Tegamon using magic of some kind. He couldn't remember exactly what happened, but he was doing some kind of waving and incantations and there was definitely a flash of light.
