I sure hope I know what I've gotten us into. We are about to cause a riot, I think, if we can motivate the miners. This is so wild it's hard to remember the ultimate goal, which is to liberate the mines. Liberating these imprisoned people, simultaneously, will, of course, be a great accomplishment, but we've got to stay focused on our commitment to the noble shepherds of the desert. We must liberate these mines- open the gates for the Salt Raiders.

And this bracelet. It is especially beautiful, but makes me quite nervous. I, a forest-dwelling Elf, and the others have been asked to deliver it to a Queen. A queen whose reign is fraught with danger and familial conflict! I am still not an expert at human relations, but I know for sure that it's a bad idea to get in the middle of family conflicts. And who's to say that the Queen Elder is on the side of good?

First chance we get, we'll have to find out more about 1) this thing's magic properties, and 2) Whether Queen Elder is on the side of good. Leggatt is really something else. I am learning from how to work well in this world. And with Angry Pipe around, I have had the confidence to step out and become a real force in the hell-hole. We're gonna mess this place up, as they say.

Trick is, can we pull it off? Can we make way for the Salt Raiders? Will the timing be just right? The folks that run this place obviously know what they're doing. Heck, they might be watching our every move. If so, we'll have to turn that into an advantage somehow.

Good news: With practice, I finally got the hang of this Trackless Step. My mentor who has no name would be very proud. Even in the soft, powdered salt, I leave no tracks. I miss the forest. Heck, being in this place I miss the city!

To be continued...
